I always recommend that people get most of their nutrients from a diet consisting mostly of natural, single ingredient, unprocessed foods. If you choose to use supplements, my goal is to provide natural options and as much information as possible for you to make an informed decision about your health. Please do your own research and always understand that nothing you take can compare to good diet, and a healthy lifestyle full of movement, fresh air, and laughter with friends. Love Yall!!

Absolute Whey has a nice blend of concentrated whey protein and isolated whey protein. These are just different forms of the same whey protein. The difference is how it is processed from it’s raw form. This simply changes it’s macro ratios of protein:fat:carbohydrates. Concentrates are more raw and unprocessed with more carbohydrates, fats and lactose. Isolates process some of that out leaving more raw protein. We kept it natural and very concentrate, but also wanted to wanted to include isolates for their quick absorption properties.

BCAA’s are short for Branch Chain Amino Acids. They are no different than regular amino acids, which are found in protein. But BCAA’s are a specific ratio of certain amino acids that have been found to have the biggest impact on muscle protein syntheisis(muscle growth). These three amino acids make up 35% of your muscle and the body does not make it on it’s own, making them ‘essential’. They also help prevent muscle breakdown or ‘catabolism’ by preserving muscle glycogen stores.

We added some protease, a digestive enzymes to help with absorption. Protease is a digestive enzyme that helps facilitate the breakdown of proteins. This is necessary for protein to be able to absorb into the body. At the end of the day if the supplements you are taking are not absorbing, then you are not getting the benefit they should be providing.

Quality food always has better bio-availability than processed supplements but if you choose to utilize supplements do your own research and know what and why you are including them.
